To Create a Scored Quiz Online
Step 1: Access Your ProProfs Quiz Maker Account

Log in to your ProProfs Quiz Maker account.

On the dashboard, click the "+ Create a Quiz" button. This will take you to a new page where you can start building your quiz.
Step 2: Select a Quiz Template, Use AI, or Start from Scratch
You can create a quiz in three ways:
- Use AI: Describe your quiz or upload a document (PDF, DOCX, or TXT), and ProProfs AI will automatically generate questions for you.
- Choose a Template: Select from a wide range of ready-to-use quizzes.
- Create from Scratch: Build your quiz manually using the editor.
Using AI to Create a Quiz
- On the Create Scored Quiz page, enter your quiz topic in the input field (e.g., Math Quiz), or upload a file.
- Click Generate Quiz.
- The AI will automatically create questions based on your input, which you can review and edit in the quiz builder.
For this tutorial, we will proceed by creating a quiz from scratch.
You’ll be prompted to either choose a ready-to-use template or create your quiz from scratch. Templates cover a wide range of topics such as business, education, sports, and holidays.
Click "+ Create from Scratch" to open the quiz builder.
Step 3: Customize Your Quiz
Here’s how the quiz builder looks to the editor. We will start with basic editing.
Customize your quiz by adding a title, image, and description. Click Edit.
- Quiz Title: Give your quiz a title to help quiz takers understand what it is about. It also helps you identify quizzes on your dashboard.
- Add Media: Upload an image/video or choose from the ProProfs library. You can also search for an image on Google or Pexels or a video on YouTube directly from the quiz builder. Select and click Done.
- Description: Add details to give quiz takers more context.
Click Save to confirm your changes.
Step 4: Add Questions to Your Quiz

Click + New Question.

Choose a question type based on your requirement. For example, select Multiple Choice and click Add.
The Import Questions feature allows you to bulk upload questions from an existing quiz or Excel file.

A multiple-choice question will appear in the editor. You can edit all elements of the question, including text and answer options.

After creating your quiz, click the header logo to return to your dashboard.
